What is available in our library? You decide.

Posted on December 21, 2018October 22, 2019

The main idea behind Files.fm library is its availability and usefulness to every person visiting it. To provide more interesting content, we ask you to donate your contribution: the files you feel would be useful for other users. This is your chance to decide what type of content you would like to see available for everyone. Here are just some examples of what we are waiting for:

  • IMAGES: stock photos, icons, maps, infographics
  • VIDEO: stock videos, movies, documentaries, blogs
  • AUDIO: samples, mixes, podcasts, audiobooks
  • DOCS: presentations, templates, study notes, data sets
  • BOOKS: children’s, educational, classic, self-published
  • SOFTWARE: freeware, open-source, games, fonts

This is your chance to free your computer from files you no longer consider essential for daily use but which could help fellow people. Keep in mind that the library will be open after FFM token pre-sale is started — read more about it here.

After the library is open for use, people will be able to download your content and gift you FFM tokens — our currency. Afterwards, you can use them to buy copyrighted content or to acquire private storage space for files you don’t wish to publish in the library.

Christmas is the time of giving. These holidays, we invite you to share your content with others!

Some examples of what we are looking for (but you can add much more!):

  • Free pictures to be used in designs
  • Self-published books in different languages
  • Educational texts and videos to share your knowledge with others
  • Study notes from subjects you’ve taken before
  • Music videos and recordings to reach listeners
  • Music sheets — share with other musicians!
  • Data sets on specific topics
  • Presentations, research papers and other content

We work on the assumption that people wish to share the content they’ve created. Another aim is to safeguard knowledge for future generations, which means that we accept any kind of useful files. We never know what might be interesting and attractive for people in 50 or 100 years, or even what might be useful for other people today — so, if you have any files you want to share with others, please, do so.

After the files are donated, they will be checked and tagged to be put in the correct category so that others can find the content they’re looking for. Illegal or very low quality files will be deleted. After your files are approved, they will be available in library.

Happy holidays — and happy sharing! Donate your files here: https://files.fm/library/
