Is it possible to restore files after an expiration date?

Files can be restored up to 30 days after deletion (180 days for Business accounts), after that it is not possible.

How can I restore my account’s password?

You can restore your password entering your account’s email address here. An email will be sent to your email address where you will be able to restore your password.

What to do when account’s storage limit is exceeded?

Storage limit can be increased by subscribing to one of two plans – Pro and Business. Information on subscription plans can be found here.

A user has paid for a subscription but nothing has changed in the account. What to do?

You simply have to log out and then log in again for changes to appear.

Which subscription plan should I choose?

There are two subscription plans available. Pro account is intended for private users and Business account is used by companies. Information on subscription plans can be found here.

How long will files be stored?

If files are uploaded on Files.fm server but are not stored in the account, they will be stored from 2 days up to 2 months. However, if files are saved and stored on Files.fm account, there is no time limit unless the storage limit is not exceeded. If the storage limit is exceeded, the latest files will be deleted after 2 months.

How to delete files?

Files can be deleted by logging in your Files.fm account and choosing option “My files” where all your files can be found. If a user doesn’t have an account, access the link where files are stored and delete them. However, If the user wants us to delete files, the content takedown form must be filled.

The user tried to pay for a subscription but it was unsuccessful. Why?

It can have multiple reasons – your bank account does not have enough funds; online payments are forbidden for your bank account; bank card which you made your subscription with has expired.

    How do receipients (sp) of files.fm access documents without an account?

      If the folder access settings are set to Private, to access the file users will need to create an account using the email that the file was shared with. If it is not set to private, anyone who knows the link will be able to access the file. For added security you can add a password to the folder.
